Backing Options

Peel-and-stick backing is useful for simple application where the patch needs to be positioned easily. It is best for suitable clean, smooth surfaces and light-use applications. It is not always the right choice for heavy washing, high-friction areas, or difficult fabrics.

Heat seal backing is only recommended when the customer has the correct professional equipment and knows how to apply heat safely. Faux leather can be damaged by the wrong heat, pressure, or application method. In particular, equipment that only heats from the top can risk marking or damaging the faux leather surface. Heat seal is safer when the right setup is used, including suitable bottom heat where required.

No backing is best when the patch will be sewn on by hand, by machine, or by your garment manufacturer. This is often the safer choice for thicker items, textured fabrics, bags, denim, leather-look goods, or garments where heat application is not suitable.

Artwork Guidance

Vector artwork such as AI or PDF is preferred because it gives the cleanest engraving result. High-resolution PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WEBP, EMB, and DST files can also be uploaded for review. For the best result, use bold shapes, clear outlines, and text that is large enough to engrave cleanly.

Care And Durability

Faux leather patches are designed for decorative branding and everyday use on suitable garments and accessories. Heat should always be treated carefully, because the wrong heat application can damage faux leather.
