A fully embroidered patch gives texture, but it cannot reproduce photographs, gradients, shading, or very complex colour blends. Subli-Stitch sits between those options by combining full-colour print with selected embroidery.

The important point is that USA Badge does not force one method across the whole design if that will not give the best result. Some areas may need to stay as normal print because they require colour accuracy, shading, or fine detail. Some areas can be prepared as embroidery-effect print, using printed stitch effects, highlights, and shadows to make the design visually pop. Other areas can be physically embroidered, such as borders, lettering, outlines, or selected logo elements.

Each order is custom made from your artwork. After you upload your design and choose the size, quantity, backing, border, and finishing options, USA Badge reviews the artwork and prepares a free digital mockup with a confirmed quote. After mockup approval, a production sample photograph is supplied for approval before the full order is completed.

Backing Options

Heat seal backing can be used for compatible heat-press application when the garment and equipment are suitable. It should be applied with the correct heat, pressure, and timing.

No backing is best when the patch will be sewn on.

Non woven backing adds structure and can help the patch feel more stable.

Temporary sticker or adhesive backing is suitable only for selected light-use or positioning needs. It should not be treated as the strongest option for heavy wear or washing.

Velcro hook, loop, or both-side backing is best when the patch needs to be removable or interchangeable.

Border And Edge Options

A satin border gives a clean embroidered edge and is one of the strongest finishing choices for Subli-Stitch patches. It helps the printed base look more premium and complete.

A merrow border gives a thicker traditional overlock edge. It can work well for simple shapes where a classic badge edge is wanted, but it adds more bulk than satin.

A laser-cut or heat-cut edge gives a flatter finish and may suit selected designs, especially where the printed shape needs to stay clean.

Applique is a specialist option and should only be chosen when the customer has the right embroidery setup or supplier support to apply and finish it correctly.

Artwork Guidance

Subli-Stitch starts with the artwork. High-resolution artwork is important because the printed parts need enough detail and clarity. Vector AI or PDF is preferred where available, and high-resolution PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WEBP, EMB, and DST files can also be uploaded for review.

When you upload your artwork, use the notes field to tell USA Badge what you want. For example, ask: "Can you make this design pop?" or "Which parts should be stitched and which parts should stay printed?" The team will review the design and advise how to combine normal print, embroidery-effect print, and real embroidery in the most effective way.

Care And Durability

If heat seal backing is used, the garment must be suitable for heat application and the correct professional equipment should be used.
